PRIST University degrees invalid: HC | JK STUDENT ONLINE


Jammu and Kashmir High Court Monday dismissed two separate appeals filed by Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology (PRIST) University and aggrieved candidates against a single bench order disallowing degrees through distance mode from PRIST and others for government jobs in JK. `Upholding the Single Judge Judgment, a division bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice J P Singh ruled that the degrees issued by PRIST and other universities are not valid for government jobs here. The court dismissed the appeals after hearing the arguments of counsels representing the petitioners and Additional Advocate General, S A Naik defending the state in the case.
